Patterns and the Beauty of Decay

My inspiration board is an ongoing montage of decaying leaves, patterns made by insects munching through the leaves in our garden, coral and shells, butterflies and other remnants of nature's cycles.

This season's collection reflects surface decay through the beauty of hammering, piercing, cutting and melting metal. The shapes of earrings and necklaces mimic the transformation and distortion of drying leaves and petals while the surfaces are embellished with patterns of decorative disintegration and decay. What is not there is just as interesting as what remains.
